Phyllis Reynolds Naylor's papers focus on the background, writing, revision, and publication of over thirty of her books for children and young adults, as well as two non-fiction works for adults. The collection includes holographs (manuscripts), typescripts, layout notes, page and gallery proofs, correspondence, both to and from Ms. Naylor, notes, photocopies of illustration, publishers' dummies, research materials, clippings, and reviews. There are also audio and videocassettes, and a selection of miscellaneous artwork by children sent to Ms. Naylor.
